Solar generator sizing calculator

Size a mobile solar generator to your load.

Your load and where it works, then your equipment — and the system that carries it, up to the 18 kW our largest inverter delivers.

Step 1 · Your load

Your load, how long it runs, and where it works.

Enter the highest load, and your day adds up here.

How the sizing works

What it assumes, and what it keeps.

01

Your load, as you give it

Nothing is assumed until you enter it. The day is the highest load for its hours and the rest-of-day load for the others; days running left empty means it runs indefinitely.

02

The sun at your site

NASA’s long-term monthly sun for a point within about 11 km of the address, on flat ground, sized for the site’s darkest month unless you pick another.

03

Each system’s own figures

Every published system is tested with the arithmetic its product page uses, reading between its published figures and never past them. What carries the load comes first, the fewest engine hours on your day next, then the least diesel. Above 18 kW, our largest inverter, it is an engineering conversation — see large systems.

04

What we keep

Google finds the address in your browser; we receive only the town and a point near it, never the street address. One record per visit keeps the load, the day, the town, a point to about 11 km and the system that fitted — no name, email or IP address. Contact details reach us only if you send a request.
